A career in Real Estate can be both rewarding and lucrative. Real estate gives you the opportunity to meet and work with many interesting people. If you are a "people person", who doesn't like to be tied down to a desk and likes the advantage of flexible hours. If you are confident, motivated, goal oriented, honest, ethical and fair . If you are patient, resilient, and like a challenge, maybe Real Estate is for you.
The first step in becoming a Licensed Real Estate Associate is to find a Broker who will sponsor you. Next you must enroll in a course which teaches the basic information needed to pass the State Real Estate Licensing Exam. The courses are given at various schools including The Staten Island Community collage and The Staten Island Board of Realtors After finishing the course, you most take a State Licensing exam.
Once you have obtained your license, the Broker who sponsored you and under whose license you will work, should provided you with the training you will need to sell, list, and market properties.
